How much does your church give to charity?
For this question I am not looking for a judgment good or bad, just relative number based on your experience with your own house of worship if you know:

As a percentage of your church's total revenue (tithing, gifts, whatever you call it in your specific case), how much is directed to "charity". By this I mean the amount given to help the needy in the form of direct aid, food, clothing, and material (e.g., construction material, cars, etc.).
This should not include labor such as volunteer work, maintenance, upkeep of church property, or any activities not directly related to assisting others in need.

For example: Evangelizing, conferences, and faith education would not count. Direct expenses for running a soup kitchen would.

The follow-up question: what do you think the percentage is on average for all churches/mosques/synagogues/etc?

If you choose to answer the latter and not the former, please provide verifiable references (links) to your source of information.

My church gives 1tenth of all donations to charity. This last year they gave, for example, to a church in our area dedicated to adoptions and foster parenting to the tune of $8,000.
